Meet YOUR Work Right Clinician

Meet Scott, your Work Right Injury Prevention Specialist!
Scott has been a Certified Athletic Trainer for 40 years. His first job after grad school was in Nashville, TN working in a sports medicine clinic as a high school outreach AT.
 
In 1995, he was selected to work at the US Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, CO for a 12 month fellowship through HEALTHSOUTH. He experienced working with quite a few Olympic sports as well as being the athletic trainer for the 1996 USA World Junior Championship team. In 1998, he left Nashville to go to Ohio University in Athens, OH. He worked with women’s soccer for two seasons, wrestling for ten seasons, and baseball for ten seasons. After his tenure at Ohio University, he transitioned to the University of South Carolina, assisting track and field/cross country for nine years and softball for one season.
 
With the outbreak of COVID-19, Scott was a part of a COVID Testing Strike Team for nearly a year. For the past 3 and a half years he worked in the military sector at Shaw Air Force Base and was responsible for care of the pre-flight and post-flight operations of a squadron of F-16 fighter pilots.
 
As you could guess, Work Right is a new experience for Scott working in the industrial setting, but he is not without experience! He looks forward to providing care to the industrial athlete and keeping the workforce operating the best as possible.
 
Outside of work, Scott has been a sports photographer since 1986 and has had photos published in Sports Illustrated, USA Today and other publications and newspapers across the country.
